Many service personnel are exposed to high levels of noise during training and operations, from weapons and live firing to vehicles, aircraft and ships.

Repeated exposure to loud noise, particularly without adequate hearing protection, can contribute to lasting hearing problems such as hearing loss and tinnitus.

If you served on or after 15 May 1987 and have noticed problems with your hearing, you can tell us about your service and symptoms through a short enquiry.

  • Other prolonged noise exposure

Symptoms people commonly report
